Great Horned Owls

I've been able to make a few trips out to Market Lake when I have a day off - it's just been slow so I haven't been posting any photos.  So I'll do a few posts and combine the photos - first up are the Great Horned Owls.  Some have been pretty easy to spot in the trees.  Like this one -

Others are pretty good at hiding -

 

 On this day there's a man standing just ahead of me on the path and the owl was keeping an eye on his dog he had with him. 

They must've had a long night - they'll usually keep an eye on me but this day they were all snoozing -
 

And then this morning - just finding one that was posing nicely.
